Dubai is undoubtedly a shoppers’ haven

In terms of clothing, fragrances, accessories, and jewelry, the city is home to some of the most well-known brands and designers.

Dubai’s busy, historic souks are just as popular with locals and tourists as the city’s glamorous malls, which are well-known around the world.

In Dubai’s ancient souks, you can often unearth unique rarities and hidden treasures for incredible prices.

The Deira Gold Souk, it is located in Al Ras Deira, next to Dubai Fish and Vegetable Market is the world’s largest gold market with more than 300 shops, is one such well-known souk.

It continues to draw hundreds of tourists to Dubai despite being in sharp contrast to the glitz and glamour of contemporary Dubai.

The Deira Gold Souk’s fine jewelers’ craftsmanship elevates this to a whole new level.

And here are a few tips before going to Deira!

Online gold price comparisons should be done before visiting the Gold Souk Market.

Dubai’s gold price is based on international market rates and is subject to daily fluctuations.

This implies that you can benefit from decreased prices to get a decent deal.

Be ready to barter.

The making charges, or the fees applied for creating the artwork, are negotiable whereas the gold rate is fixed.

Between the price jewelers will offer and the price they will accept, there is a wide range.

Jewelers anticipate that you will barter, so be prepared with price buffers.

Due to this, purchasing gold in Deira is more affordable than elsewhere in the city.

In Dubai, gold is sold based on weight and karat.

The cost increases as the gold’s Karat value increases. Gold is purer when it has a higher Karat rating.

Choose a quiet day to visit Deira’s Gold Souk.

Before making a decision, take your time and peruse several stores.

Because of their privileged positioning within the Deira gold market, many stores charge more.

To find a very good price, try looking in all the right places.

The Gold Souk Deira in Dubai is open from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM.

On Fridays, however, the market starts at 4:00 PM following afternoon prayers and remains open until 9:30 PM.

Remember that evenings are typically significantly busier than mornings.

One of the largest retail centers in the world is Dubai Mall.

With over 1,200 outlets, not to mention the fact that it is connected to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, the Dubai Aquarium, Kidzania, a Virtual Reality Park, and an Olympic Ice Skating

Rink can be overwhelming to explore.

But on the scale of global shopping mall experiences, it’s a pretty epic destination!

So let’s explore the Dubai Mall in more detail. What standouts don’t you want to miss?

Where are you going? Read on, travelers to Dubai!

The largest suspended aquarium tank in the world, which holds 10 million liters (2.64 million gallons) of water, is found at the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo.

It has the largest acrylic viewing panel in the world, which is 75 cm thick and 8.3 m thick by 32.88 m broad.

Among the 140+ species on show within the aquarium, which is located right in the middle of Dubai Mall, you can expect to see hundreds of sharks and stingrays.

There are many additional activities available at the zoo, including caged shark walks, Kind Croc encounters, shark dives, ray encounter experiences, and feeding demonstrations.

You will need 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the activities you engage in.

Next is the free human waterfall.

This magnificent sculpture is completely instagrammable and iconic in every way.

One of the Dubai Mall’s most striking features, it is spread across two enormous cylindrical walls that are 30 meters in diameter and 24 meters high, spanning the three floors of the mall.

Navigate the ice skating rink with ease.

It’s hard to imagine that the center of the Dubai Mall is home to a whole Olympic-sized rink.

Open to people of all ages and skill levels, you may learn to skate or watch skilled skaters perform for the crowd.

You may hire all of your ice skating equipment there.

Utilize the Emirates A380 simulator to land an airplane.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to pilot the biggest commercial airplane in the world?

You can take a 30-minute guided instruction on how to land this massive airplane at 12 of the busiest airports in the world on the second floor of the Dubai Mall, directly across from the entrance to the aquarium.

What to wear? What to wear? Hmmm…

Simply dress in weather-appropriate linen or cotton during the day.

Cover your shoulders and avoid wearing anything too short or revealing when you enter the city.

However, it’s advised to wear a pashmina or a lightweight cardigan when lounging in hotels and malls that have air conditioning.

All you’ll need to lounge by the pool during the day is a bikini, swimwear, and some flip-flops or sandals.

In the midday sun, the tiles by the pool can become extremely warm.

For your walk from the hotel to the pool, you must also wear a t-shirt and shorts or something similar.

Another no-no is sunbathing without a top.

Bring loose linen and light cotton clothing with you.

To avoid drawing unwanted attention, you should wear skirts, tank tops, bikinis, and shorts that aren’t too exposing or race-inspired (such as Daisy Dukes or small skirts) (stares and car honking).

You’ll be shocked to discover that some young tourists (girls) dress provocatively at malls, which is insulting in a Muslim nation.

Additionally, wearing pants will be very uncomfortable because it will be far too hot and muggy.

Bring an extra pair in case you decide to wear them, which I doubt after feeling the heat.

Denim is probably too uncomfortable for wearing during the day since the temperature is up to 35°C; swimsuits and bikinis are also acceptable; just remember to cover yourself when you go back to the hotel from the pool. Happy travels!

Wear smart casual attire since it’s wonderful to dress up in the evenings.

Pack up your sunscreen, comfortable shoes, light layers, a hat, sunglasses, camera and charger for your devices before you go.

Bring along snacks, a map of where you’re going and guidebooks for reference.

Make sure to bring money for shopping or any extra budgeting needs abroad.

If traveling internationally be sure to bring your passport and tickets to get into the places you want.

With these items on hand, your trip is sure to be an unforgettable adventure!

Bon Voyage!
